The commercial was staged like a horror film. It surprises with a humorous ending. Inspired by such movies as "Scream" or "Halloween" our main protagonist – a young woman arrives at her home. It's dark and she finds the front door unlocked. Anxious she walks through the building when suddenly a dark shadow appears behind her. She hastily switches on the light. Was it just an illusion? She walks into the living room, when all of sudden a horror clown jumps at the window and laughs. She grabs a knife and sneaks to the garden. Once there, she is surprised by her boyfriend, who who is singing a birthday song with friends. You hug each other and celebrate your birthday.
Together with our client we developed a shooting concept based on the daring idea in various sessions. Right from the start, we had to match the storyline with the presentation of the NYX Bulb product. Despite the mutual agreement to make a cool film, we knew that the functionality of the product should not be neglected. We ultimately found the solution in the modular structure of the film. We shot the film consistently with two cameras in order to be able to cover the story as well as the product presentation within a tight shooting schedule. This approach enabled us to make 3 independent evaluations in the later post-production of the film. A main film with a horror storyline. A long version with a story and explanatory product shots. And a pure product film. All three forms were subsequently distributed online.
This multimodal approach allowed Astera to successfully explain all aspects of the product, as well as to generate media attention in the social networks with a challenging spot. The films were subsequently successfully evaluated on Astera's Instagram and Facebook channels. Several hundred thousand interested parties could be reached via the two social media platforms.

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
