The film was planned well in advance and finally shot in Germany, UK and USA in 2011-2012. For this purpose, Simon Baumann, the director of the film, traveled to Los Angeles and conducted interviews with many representatives from the VFX industry on the subject of previsualization. The film includes interviews with Jan Harlan, Alex McDowell, Marc Weingartner, Chris Edwards, Marc Weigert, Keith Cunningham, Peter Hjorth and many more. These experts describe the use of previsualization as an example and explain how the use of previs has influenced the film projects in a positive way. This covers topics such as: shooting planning, camera movements, budgeting and implementation of post-production processes. The complex handling of film production in Hollywood is now guaranteed exclusively with the help of previs. The documentary was co-financed and sponsored by various partners. The premiere of the film took place in Berlin.
